Adorable Aprons

I love a good deal! The girls and I went to Target the other night and found the most adorable aprons in the $1/$2.50 aisle. I've been meaning to sew aprons for us but never got around to it. For $2.50 I couldn't resist everyone getting a new apron (and saving me some time!). I did monogram our names on them (just so we wouldn't get them all mixed up).
When I got around to Emma's I decided to do something a little different. She is very tall for a 4 year old, but not tall enough for an adult size apron. I decided to shorten the waist ties and put button holes in each one.
I then criss-crossed them on her back and sewed buttons on the front to attach them.
Voila! A perfect apron for a petite chef! These would make great gifts too for Emma's little friends. Ohh, I think I might need to make another trip to Target soon!

This is soooo cute, what a great idea! I know how my daughter always loved to have an apron when she was little and could help in the kitchen. She still likes aprons but now she makes her own. :)

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog today,

What a great idea for your little girls apron! I'll have to store that idea in the back of my mind for an apron if I am ever blessed with a daughter.

And what a fantastic find at Target!

This apron is so cute! I was just at Target this week, didn't see the cute little aprons, but I did pick up some cute hamburger baskets 4 for $1.00. The girls have already enjoyed having their lunches served in them! It's always amazing to me how little it really takes to amuse or entertain a child. My 8 year old was grumbling just the other day about a peanut butter sandwich, apparantly she was sick of them, although honestly I seldom fix them! But put them in a 25 cent red plastic burger basket, and the whole thing is gone! :0)

Your girls are beautiful by the way. Our recital isn't until June 9. This is our second year of dance. Both of the girls love it!

Blessings,
Kim
